KDE Trash error

If you ever find the above error in your KDE, try ย this:

open a terminal, cd to ~/.local/share/Trash and rm the metadata file there. The file “metadata”, if corrupted, shows the wrong size for trash, and produces this error.

P.S. This works only if your trash is empty, and still produces this error. Otherwise just empty your trash and try again. ๐Ÿ™‚

I got into this problem today. While poking around the Windows Network and Sharing center, I disabled the TAP-Colinux connection. (For those of you who don’t know what this is, it’s a virtual adapter used by andLinux ( http://www.andlinux.org/ ). Disabling this prevents you from opening any of the andLinux graphical applications. ). I tried searching google on how to reenable this. Then I found some page that said that TAP-Colinux was a virtual adapter. This means that windows treats this as some router to which it can connect. To re-enable it, go to Network and Sharing center (which can be found in your control panel), and click on the third link on the left pane – Change adapter settings. There you get a list of all adapters windows knows of. Find TAP-Colinux, right click on it, and select Enable. Now save whatever you were working on and restart your computer. Now windows will automatically connect to this adapter and you’ll be able to use your andLinux applications as usual. ๐Ÿ™‚
(Note: I’m pretty new to andLinux, and there may be some mistakes in what I’ve written above. If you find anything wrong, feel free to correct me.)
